Emberfall Saga
Emberfall Saga is the kind of RPG that trusts you to enjoy the details. You assemble a party of four, each with skill trees that actually branch in meaningful ways, and the early hours already give you room to experiment. We rebuilt our mage twice just because the options were fun to poke at.
The story takes its time. There's a fallen kingdom, a slow revelation about why the embers are dying, and a cast that grows on you through small campfire conversations. Combat is turn-based but keeps a good tempo, with positioning that matters more than raw numbers.
Progression is generous without being mindless. You feel stronger because you learned the systems, not because a meter filled up. It's easily one of the deepest RPGs we've played on a phone this year.
